CLOSURE: Enon Road Over Camp Creek Tributary

PRESS RELEASE: B501 - Enon Road Over Camp Creek Tributary (District 1)

The City of South Fulton's contractor will begin culvert replacement operations on Enon Road at Camp Creek Tributarybeginning Monday October 7, 2024. The project on Enon Road over Camp Creek Tributary is a culvert replacement for an aging drainage structure. Additional improvements on this project include improving drainage, adding a 2.5-ft. curb & gutter, 1.5-ft. stamped concrete, and 6-ft. wide sidewalks throughout the 400 ft. project limits. The new culvert will be constructed using a 12-foot by 10-footprecast concrete culvert 78feet in length.

The construction willrequire the need for a temporary roadclosure of Enon Road and the use of an offsite detour. The duration of the detour is expected to be 60 calendardays, October 7- December 6, 2024. During the closure, local traffic will still be allowedto access local homes, however, thru traffic will be prohibited. Traffic will be temporarily detoured along the signed detour route following Campbellton Road(GA 154/GA 166) to Wallace Road in order tonavigate around the closure.Motorists are askedto avoid the area,if possible, plan accordingly, and anticipate delays.
