15 Year Old Arrested with a Loaded Firearm in Dorchester

At about 6:55 PM, on Saturday, September 7, 2024, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male on firearm charges.

Officers were attending an event in the area of Pleasant Street and Pearl Street when they observed a disturbance across the street. Officers were approached by an unknown individual who told officers that one of the suspects had a firearm.

As officers approached the two suspects, they both separated from one another and walked in different directions. Officers were able to stop one suspect, and after further investigation, he was promptly released.

Officers attempted to stop the second suspect who refused officers orders to stop. Officers were able to catch up to the suspect, and attempted to conduct a pat frisk. The suspect began to resist officers' orders, and was placed into handcuffs. Officers searched the suspect and recovered a firearm from a fanny pack. The firearm was later determined to be a SCCY CPX-1 with one round in the chamber and seven rounds in the magazine.

The 15-year-old juvenile male was placed under arrest and charged with Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, and Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
