Local Student Serves as Mayor for the Day

League City resident Sidney Zamora-who recently graduated from Clear Lake High School and now participates in their special needs HEARTS program-won a silent auction at a local school, allowing her to become League City's "Mayor for the Day" on Tuesday, August 27. After swearing in, Mayor Nick Long took Sidney on a tour of City Hall, Helen Hall Library, League City Animal Care, and the Police Department. Following the tour, Sidney announced the roll call at City Council and officially started the meeting. Thank you, Sidney, for doing such a great job as Mayor for the Day!
