Seattle City Light offering $200 bill credits to income-qualified customers
On Monday, July 29, Seattle City Light joined Gov. Inslee, Mayor Harrell, and the WA Dept. of Commerce to announce a $200 bill credit offered by Washington electric utilities through the Climate Commitment Act.

City Light residential customers qualify to receive a bill credit if their total 2023 pre-tax household income was at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI). For example, the amount for a 2-person household is $88,800, while a 4-person household is $110,950.
If you think your household may qualify, visit https://citylight.seattle.gov/WACleanEnergyCredits to learn more and apply. Funding is limited and credits are only available until September 15, 2024.
Customers who receive Utility Discount Program, Emergency Bill Assistance, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program or another income-qualified energy assistance will automatically receive the credit. A notification appears when an attempt to apply through the State's application form is made.
City Light continues to connect City Light customers with resources to help reduce their electric bills. In addition to applying for Clean Energy Credits, customers can visit https://seattle.gov/city-light/billassistance for more information on City Light's other bill assistance offerings.
The Washington Families Clean Energy Credits Program is supported with funding from Washington's Climate Commitment Act. The CCA supports Washington's climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health. Information about the CCA is available at www.climate.wa.gov.
