CALPINE STEPS UP ASSISTANCE FOR TEXANS IMPACTED BY HURRICANE BERYL

(HOUSTON, Texas) - July 17, 2024 - Calpine Corporation today announced a contribution of $500,000 to help Texas residents impacted by Hurricane Beryl. This donation includes $250,000 for the Hurricane Beryl Recovery Fund and $150,000 for greater Houston area organizations.

In addition to these donations, we are providing $100,000 in assistance for Champion Energy customers, Calpine's retail arm. Calpine is also supporting employees through special emergency support programs including assistance through the Calpine Employee Relief Fund.

"From lost homes to lost work, we know how hard the recent hurricane has hit families across the state," said Calpine CEO Thad Hill.
