TR Fastenings (TR) recently participated in key events in Slovakia, focused on the evolving opportunities within the automotive supply chain, particularly in light of the global shift towards electrification.
Invited by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), TR joined fellow members of the UK Automotive Supply Chain Delegation at the British Embassy in Bratislava. The meeting highlighted Slovakia's open approach to trade, presenting a prime opportunity for the UK to forge stronger ties and explore new business avenues.
Alongside the UK delegation, key figures from the Slovak government and business community attended, including representatives from the Department for Business and Trade; the British Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic; delegates from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency.
The event provided an insightful overview of Slovakia's economy, underscoring the automotive sector's vital contribution, which accounts for 40% of the country's GDP.
On 13 November, TR representatives Maciej Plewka and Patrik Nuyts attended the CEE Automotive Supply Chain Conference, where TR joined a dedicated UK stand. During the event, SMMT presented on the significance of the UK delegation and its role in fostering international collaboration. The conference agenda offered key insights from leading automotive companies, addressing future industry challenges and opportunities. With 339 attendees, the event proved an excellent networking platform, culminating in an evening reception attended by TR representatives and the wider UK delegation.
The following day, TR held several B2B meetings, further strengthening relationships and exploring potential partnerships.
