BPD Property Room staff were awarded the Chief Unit Citation Award

Yesterday, our Property Room professional staff members were awarded the Chief Unit Citation Award. Here's the story behind it:

The Baytown Police Department property room staff have worked tirelessly this past year as we prepared to move into our new Public Safety building. Specifically, these employees have processed and packed over 100,000 pieces of evidence and property for the move. They completed this enormous task while also continuing to process incoming items, handle court obligations, respond to citizen inquiries, and coordinate corrections. Their commitment to this department has been remarkable, evident by their exceptional teamwork, dedication, and organizational skills. Each employee involved brought great credit upon themselves, the property room profession, and the Baytown Police Department.
