Christmas Outdoor Decorating Contest

The City of Destin's Holiday Committee will form and select the best Christmas Holiday Decorations in Destin within City limits.

• Participation is open to all residents that are within City of Destin limits (annexed to City of Destin)
• Entry is free, no cost or fees apply
• Entry nominations must be received no later than 5:00pm on Monday, December 16^th, 2024.
• Contest is for exterior decorations only (judges will not enter property to view back or side of yards)
• Participants agree to have one or more photos of their decorated residence exterior posted on social media by the City of Destin

Judging will be based on the following categories:

1. Best Decorated Home: This will include single homes, duplexes (best side), mobile homes, etc.

2. Best Decorated Business: This will include restaurants, shops, department stores, schools, professional offices, etc.

3. Best Decorated Organization: This category includes entrances to homeowner's associations, golf courses, etc.

4. Best overall Holiday: This category includes all homes, business, and organizations throughout the City Limits that go above and beyond.

Judging will be done December 17^th from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Depending on the number of entries, judging may continue from 5:00-8:00pm on December 18^th (within the City Limits of Destin, annexed). Participants should ensure that all lights, animations, and decorations are in place and activated for the judging periods of both nights. All decorations must remain up from December 16^th through December 31^st. Winners will be announced and will be recognized by the Mayor during the Council meeting January 2025.
