Damita Robinson Wins Exceptional Leader Award

Damita Robinson, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Andrews Federal Credit Union, is the recipient of the CUES 2024 Exceptional Leader Award.

With over 30 years of service at Andrews Federal, Damita's leadership has been instrumental in the credit union's growth and success. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to innovation, employee well-being, and community service.

In 2023, when Andrews Federal's CEO went on medical leave, Damita stepped up as interim CEO, guiding the credit union through a challenging period. Under her leadership, the credit union achieved financial stability, a high Net Promoter Score, and completed a successful year-end audit. Simultaneously, she continued overseeing key initiatives, such as expanding community development efforts and launching a project management program to improve operational efficiency.

Damita's impact extends beyond operations; she has been a strong advocate for employees, introducing programs like the child-care subsidy and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative. Her dedication to both staff and members, including supporting service members overseas, exemplifies her exceptional leadership and commitment to making a meaningful difference.
