State Agencies Are Flouting the Climate Law: Urge Governor Hochul and Agencies to Enforce the CLCPA!

The Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA), New York's major Climate Act, celebrates 5 years since its passage this year. However,a recent report released by NY Renews and New York Lawyers for Public Interest (NYLPI) has revealed that New York is not on track to meet the energy mandates set forth by this landmark legislation. According to the report, four of the biggest and best-funded New York State agencies are operating as if the Climate Act does not apply to their missions, operations, infrastructure and assets, or policies.
