Enhancing Cultural Cooperation

The Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad had the privilege of welcoming Most Venerable Anil Sakya, along with a distinguished delegation from Thailand's Ministry of Culture, led by the Director-General of the Department of Religious Affairs. Invited by the Secretary of the National Heritage and Cultural Division of Pakistan, the delegation embarked on a significant mission to select Gandhara artifacts from renowned museums in Pakistan for a special exhibition in Thailand.

During their visit, the delegation made courtesy calls on the Governors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces and explored the rich history of Pakistan at Taxila Museum, Swat Museum, Peshawar Museum, and Lahore Museum.

This visit highlights the strengthening of cultural ties between Thailand and Pakistan, bringing the ancient Gandhara civilization closer to the Thai people.
