One of California's new employment law bills for 2025, AB 2299 requires the Labor Commissioner to update its "Whistleblowers Are Protected" poster to meet all current legal standards, including a list of employee rights and responsibilities under existing whistleblower laws. The updated poster is now available to download here! In addition to this posting, California employers should ensure they have all updated State and federal notices for 2025.
As a reminder, the Whistleblower notice must be in a font larger than 14 point and contain the telephone number to the whistleblower hotline. Employers who display the new model notice will be considered compliant with the mandate to exhibit employees' whistleblower rights and responsibilities prominently.
