Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a fire on Regis Drive

Released: November 7, 2024 at 9:30 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB- At 4:36 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a three-storey residential building in the 100 block of Regis Drive.

At the scene, firefighters saw smoke coming from the building. Firefighters attacked the fire from inside the building and declared the fire under control at 4:56 p.m.

All occupants safely self-evacuated before crews arrived. Paramedics transported one patient to hospital in unstable condition.

Damage estimates are not available. Most residents were able to return to their suites once crews completed their work on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
