Schindler Wows AIA24 Attendees with New Digital Connectivity Technology

MORRISTOWN, NJ, June 14, 2024 - Last week, Schindler Elevator Corporation exhibited at the largest architecture and design show in the country, the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design.

\r\n

Taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C., the event brought in over 15,000 attendees, 580 exhibitors, 610 speakers, and 375 educational sessions.

\r\n

Standing at over 6 feet tall, we unveiled our Schindler MetaCore display. The 3D, mixed-use building replica showcased our latest transportation technology of the future, which allows for the repurposing of a building's functionality to extend its overall useful lifespan, as described recently to Industry Today.

\r\n

In addition to showcasing our latest innovation, AIA24 provided the perfect venue for meeting and networking with thousands of leading minds across architecture and design industries to discuss:

\r\n
  • \r\n
  • Our cost-effective, machine room less (MRL) traction elevator portfolio
  • \r\n
  • Easily comparing and configuring elevator models using Schindler Plan
  • \r\n
  • How connected elevators benefit buildings now and in the future
  • \r\n
  • Schindler Ahead digital products & services
  • \r\n
  • Keeping track of your equipment status 24/7 via Schindler Ahead ActionBoard
  • \r\n
  • Real-time monitoring and support from our Technical Operations Center
  • \r\n
\r\nThe eye-catching model boosted foot traffic throughout the space and enabled engagement with a wide range of attendees.\" \r\n

Digital Solutions Sales Manager, Gopal Krishnan, commented on having our interactive Schindler MetaCore display at the show: \"The tower also allowed people to see firsthand how MetaCore can help asset owners, developers, and architects in repurposing monofunctional buildings to accommodate mixed-use for virtually any passenger group-thereby making such buildings revenue-generating again while allowing for their flexibility in an ever-evolving commercial real estate landscape.\"

\r\n

Thanks to the marketing, business line, and local sales teams for pulling off such a great event. Here's to AIA25 and another chance to gain valuable insights into our customers' needs, including sustainably-minded developments, hoistway constraints, and more!
