All businesses in the region must have a civic address registered with the Municipality. This helps people find your business location, including Canada Post and Regional Emergency Services. The Municipality maintains a database of registered civic address, which is used to support services for businesses and is shared with Canada Post.
Canada Post's new mail delivery system relies on the municipal database of registered civic addresses. Once implemented, mail delivery to unregistered business addresses could be disrupted.
Avoid disruptions to your mail by getting a registered address for your business today!
Home businesses are not affected by the Canada Post changes. If your business is run out of your home, this doesn't apply to you.
If you're a property owner and your business isn't registered, you can complete your registration online at rmwb.ca/address or in person at 9909 Franklin Ave, Fort McMurray, AB T9H 2K4. Registration costs $100 per address point.
Once you have a registered address with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, it will be shared with Canada Post.
If you have any questions or need assistance applying for a registered address, please contact 780-793-1043, or for out of hours call Pulse at 780-743-7000 or toll-free at 1-800-973-9663 or online at rmwb.ca/pulse.
