ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona softball outfielder Brooke Colledge, of Everett, was recognized by the NCAA on Aug. 20 as a 2024 Statistical Champion, becoming the first player in Lions softball program history to lead the nation in an official statistical category.

Colledge, who wrapped up her five-year career with the Penn State Altoona softball program this past spring, was named an NCAA Statistical Champion for being the Toughest Player to Strike Out in Division III last season. In 125 at-bats across 35 games, Colledge did not strike out.

Colledge was a first-team All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference selection last season, the second year in a row that she was voted to the first tier of the league's postseason awards. In her collegiate career, the outfielder compiled a .338 batting average while collecting 41 extra-base hits and striking out only 14 times in 385 at-bats. Colledge was a member of the 2023 AMCC champion Penn State Altoona softball team that earned the program's third-ever conference title and NCAA Division III postseason appearance.
