Partial Collapse Closes Closson St. Pedestrian Bridge

Effective immediately, the Closson Street pedestrian bridge will be closed to all pedestrian traffic.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure the safety of our community," said River and Watershed Manager Zoë Isaacson.

After a thorough inspection Monday evening, the City of Santa Fe determined the bridge was unsafe.

Cones and caution tape are now positioned at each entrance, with the City actively installing more signs to notify the public about the closure.

Detour routes will be provided directing pedestrians to the next downstream crossing at Louis Montano Park.
