CONNECTICUT INSURANCE DEPARTMENT AND CT IFS PREPARE FOR
'INSURING THE FUTURE' EVENT ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2024

HARTFORD, CT - The Connecticut Insurance Department (CID) and Connecticut Insurance & Financial Services (CT IFS) are gearing up for their joint event, "Insuring the Future," taking place on September 10, 2024, at The Bushnell Center for Performing Arts in Hartford, CT. This full-day program, running from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, will bring together insurance, climate, and government leaders to discuss the pressing issues of climate risk, mitigation, and innovation in insurance.

The "Insuring the Future" event is a merger of two significant annual gatherings: the Connecticut Conference on Climate Change and Insurance (C4I), hosted by CID, and the Insurance Capital Summit (ICS), hosted by CT IFS. This collaboration is designed to foster discussions and generate actionable insights on how the insurance industry can address the growing challenges posed by climate change and the need for innovation in risk management.

About the Connecticut Conference on Climate Change and Insurance (C4I): The C4I has been a platform for environmental and insurance experts, policymakers, and leaders to exchange ideas on combating climate change and enhancing resilience through insurance solutions. This year, the integration with ICS will broaden the scope of discussions to include not only climate-related risks but also the future of insurance innovation.
