As part of the regional conference on "Financing the Risk of Natural Disasters and Insurance in Central Asia," held by the World Bank on November 12-13 in Astana, Kazakhstan, Sirojiddin Ikromi, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan as representative of Tajikistan's insurance control body, met with representatives from the World Bank.
During the meeting, Deputy Chairman Sirojiddin Ikromi highlighted the fruitful cooperation between Tajikistan and the World Bank in developing financial and insurance sectors. He emphasized the meeting's importance for improving the socioeconomic well-being of the region's population and advancing the insurance sector. Such events are crucial for fostering international cooperation and sharing experience on natural disaster insurance, which can help mitigate losses in regional countries.
The discussion also focused on future collaboration to ensure the orderly development of Tajikistan's insurance market, particularly by implementing best practices in modern insurance mechanisms for natural disasters, agricultural insurance, and crop and agricultural product insurance. Both parties expressed their commitment to expanding cooperation in Tajikistan's insurance sector.
