Readers of Condé Nast Traveler once again selected Santa Fe as their favorite city in the western half of the United States. The publication announced the results of its annual Readers' Choice Awards on Oct. 1, with Santa Fe ranking #2 in the category of "Best Small Cities in the U.S. "
Santa Fe area resort, Bishop's Lodge, Auberge Resorts Collection, retained high honors with a ninth ranking on the "Top 10 Resorts in the Southwest." Plaza area hotel, Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi, was highlighted in the 10th place on the list of "Top 10 Hotels in the Southwest and West." "It's an honor to learn that Condé Nast Traveler readers continue to rank Santa Fe as the best city in the west and to retain our #2 spot nationwide for yet another year," said Randy Randall, executive director of TOURISM Santa Fe. "The annual Condé Nast Traveler poll is one of the most important endorsements for a travel destination and is a valuable tool for potential visitors to use in making travel decisions for the coming year. The outstanding visitor experience provided daily by our tourism partners makes Santa Fe a top destination, and it is rewarding to have this experience so well received by the traveling public." An internationally beloved travel destination, Santa Fe has finished in the top five in the annual survey since 2014, making it one of the most awarded cities by the publication's readers.
