City of Buena Park Military Banner Program - Applications Being Accepted

New Military Banner Program
The City of Buena Park proudly honors military service personnel through the Military Banner Program. Banners will be displayed as a public expression of the City's appreciation for the dedication and service of our military members. This is a no-cost program; all banner costs will be covered by the City. Banners will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for a banner, the honoree must be a full-time active duty member of the United States Armed Forces (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, National Guard, Space Force, or Navy) and meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Currently reside in Buena Park
• Be an immediate family member (spouse, child, grandparent, grandchild, son/daughter-in-law) of a current Buena Park resident

Application Process:

• Please attach proof of military service with your application (e.g., Military ID, deployment orders, or other official documentation).
• Please attach proof of residency (utility bill, California ID, or Driver's License).
• Please provide a 5x7 or larger color photograph. The photograph should be of the service member in uniform. If none is available, a high-resolution photo will suffice. The photograph must be of good quality and will not be returned. Please do not send the original photograph.

Banner Display:
Banners will be installed during spring and will remain on display for a period of one year to honor and recognize our servicemen and servicewomen. Banners will be displayed on City light poles on Orangethorpe Ave., between Beach Blvd. and Valley View Ave. The location of the banner will be at the City's discretion.

Each banner will include:

• Military Branch Logo[Link]
• Honoree's First and Last Name (12 characters max per line)
• Honoree's Photograph
• Banner to be printed on both side
