KILLEEN, Texas (Nov. 6, 2024) - The City of Killeen's Parks & Recreation Department has holiday activities to announce, including the annual Toy Drive and Letters to Santa.
The Junior Youth Advisory Commission is running the toy drive, and is collecting new and unused gifts for those in need for the upcoming holiday season. Gifts will be accepted from Nov. 11 through Dec. 11 and can be dropped off at the Family Recreation Center (1700 East Stan Schlueter Loop) from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday or at Lions Club Senior Center (1700 East Stan Schlueter Loops or City Hall (101 North College Street) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Family Recreation Center also will be setting up a magical mailbox to collect letters from youth to be delivered to Santa. Letters can be taken to the Family Recreation Center from Nov. 25 through Dec. 13 during normal business hours.
