With friends and family in attendance, the participant who has gone through the program and has successfully completed all phases will be honored. Jarrad Aason, a 2020 drug court graduate and board president of Brothers and Sisters Behind Bars, will be the featured speaker.

The commencement ceremony is open to the public, media and cameras. The ceremony will also be streamed via Zoom for those who cannot attend in person at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84001906813?pwd=lpsRcUZ6I0RyJeImVgZvbETdiZSGLK.1.

Codington County Treatment Court is designed for persons whose problems stem from a substance abuse disorder. As an individual enters this voluntary, intensely supervised program, they must be motivated to work toward changing their lifestyle and becoming free of alcohol and chemical abuse. These courts have proven that a combination of supervision, treatment and support can lead people with substance use and/or mental health disorders into lives of stability, wellness and recovery.
