Greenberg Traurig Named Insurance Insider ‘Legal Services Provider of the Year’

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Sept. 25, 2024 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. has been named "Legal Services Provider of the Year" by Insurance Insider as part of the publication's 2024 U.S. Honors award program.

Now in its fourth year, the awards recognize outstanding achievement in the U.S. Property and Casualty market. The publication's awards team received approximately 130 entries across 28 categories and submitted them for judging by a panel of industry experts, according to Insurance Insider. The winners were announced at an awards ceremony Sept. 19 in New York City.

Attorneys from Greenberg Traurig's Global Insurance Regulatory and Transactions Practice were recognized for their work providing legal services and advice to the reinsurance market and for representing clients across the sector. With experience in a variety of complementary disciplines, the team assists clients with large-scale 50-state projects and routinely conducts 50-state statutory and regulatory surveys to support client business operations.

Among their achievements this year, the team advised an information security company in developing a warranty to accompany highly specialized security software that detects the use of malicious deep fake technology to subvert, defraud, or harm financial institutions. The team advised the client in developing the warranty that supports its deepfake detection product, which involved working with insurance regulators in all 50 states to ensure that the warranty product was structured in a compliant manner.
