HHP hosts Sport Agility and Nutrition Camp

Paige Fontenot, a graduate assistant pursuing a master's degree in Sports Management at Northwestern State University, put Carson Lyles through a Y balance test to determine balance and flexibility during this week's Sport Agility and Nutrition Camp. Lyles is an 8th grader who plays football and baseball. The camp was hosted by NSU's Department of Health and Human Performance.

10th grader Braxton Cabrera participated in a jump test during Northwestern State University's Sport Agility and Nutrition Camp while NSU graduate assistant Spencer Robinson and fellow campers looked on. Robinson is pursuing a master's degree in Public Health and volunteers with the basketball program. Cabrera and other campers practiced skill-building and individualized plans for their sport and position. Northwestern State University Graduate Assistant Paige Fontenot measured the wingspan of Adam Todtenbier prior to a determining how high the fourth grader can jump during this week's Sport Agility and Nutrition Camp for athletes ages 11-18. Activities were designed to test jump height, jump distance, strength, speed, agility, balance and flexibility with individualized recommendations on how to improve biomechanics. The camp was hosted by NSU's Department of Health and Human Performance with assistance from NSU HHP students and freshman student-athletes
