The Buckeyes kick off their 2024 football season Saturday in Ohio Stadium. For the fourth consecutive year, The Ohio State University Marching Band's pregame Skull Session will be livestreamed - accessible on phones, tablets and laptops for those who cannot watch it live in St. John Arena.

Ohio State's Office of Marketing and Communications will livestream Skull Session before the game against the University of Akron Zips on Saturday afternoon and before each home game for the rest of the season. The livestream can be found on the Ohio State YouTube channelthrough the website or on the YouTube app.

"We're excited to be back for our fourth season of livestreaming Skull Session. This year we are adding live interviews and have something special planned each week for our fans," said Director of National Broadcast Media Joe Camoriano. "If you tune in 2 1/2 hours before kickoff of each home game, you'll get to see one of the best fan experiences in the country."

Camoriano and a team of videographers will stream Skull Session using seven different cameras and multiple microphones to capture the action from all angles.

New features this year include:

· Flag giveaways - One fan will receive an Ohio State flag each week. To be entered into the drawing, viewers can submit a text code and a keyword. For more information about the flag giveaways, visit this website.

· Guest interviews - For the first time, the Skull Session team will interview a special guest at the beginning of each livestream.

Skull Session originally served as a final music rehearsal for the Ohio State Marching Band before its performance on the field. It has evolved into one of the most anticipated game day traditions for Buckeye fans. Doors to St. John Arena open three hours prior to kickoff and the arena can quickly fill up.

TBDBITL marches into the arena and plays "Fanfare for a New Era" as the football team arrives. Coach Ryan Day, assistant coaches and players often speak each week to the fans before they head to the stadium. The band then performs a final musical run-through of its pregame and halftime shows before game time.
