RDOS Protective Services monitoring local fires

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) Protective Services department is aware of a fire at Lower Similkameen Indian Band (LSIB) near Chopaka Roads 7 and 8. The RDOS is communicating with fire crews and is available to support if required.

The Chopaka road fire is responding well to fire crew activities as of 6:50 pm on Monday, July 15, 2024.

A second fire was reported just before 5:00 pm on July 15, 2024. Anarchist Mountain Fire Department is responding on Long Joe Road at Anarchist Mountain in Electoral Area "A" (rural Osoyoos).
