Celebrating Our Recent Facility Expansion: A Recap of our Stevenage Global Supply Chain HubGrand Opening Event

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating the official grand opening of our newest Global Supply Chain Hub in Stevenage, UK, alongside local clients and partners. This milestone marked our commitment to providing our UK ATMP clients with gateway logistics offerings to Europe and the rest of the world. The day was filled with presentations by distinguished industry guests, tours of our new facility, and ample time to enjoy hors d'oeuvres while discussing the future support required for research, clinical trials, and the commercialization of advanced therapies within the EMEA region.

With so many highlights from this event, here is a recap of the key moments that made the event so special:

Welcome & Introductions

The event kicked off with a series of speeches from key figures. Stephen Ward, CGT Catapult's Chief Manufacturing Officer, shared the vision behind the facility, emphasizing how valuable the service offerings at this Hub will be to clients looking for logistics offerings.

Speeches & Discussion

• Robert Jones, Cryoport Systems' Vice President of Global BioServices, expressed his excitement about the company's commitment to innovation and specialized services for the life sciences.
• Jane Wells, Cryoport Systems' Director of Business Development for EMEA shared her perspective on the EMEA market and how she envisions Cryoport Systems supporting the growingindustry in the coming years.
• David Whitaker, CRYOPDP's Managing Director-UK, discussed CRYOPDP's global logistics services and explained how Cryoport System's signature shippers are carefully managed from this facility.

Event guests also had the opportunity to ask questions that extended the conversations about the facility and plans to further support the cell and gene industry.

Facility Tours

After the speeches, guests were invited to tour the Global Supply Chain Hub, led by Laurence Norris, Cryoport Systems' Supply Chain Hub Manager. During the guided tour, the groups stopped at each significant area of the facility, where they viewed the key features of the Cryoport Express® High Volume and Standard Volume Shippers, learned about the technology equipped for enhanced traceability and risk mitigation, and got to peek into the Cryoshuttle®, used for local pickups and deliveries.

Networking

This event was much more than just a celebration of a new building; it was an opportunity to celebrate the scalability that our local presence will provide to our clients who require shipping systems, advanced technology, and local pick-up and delivery services. The event concluded with hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and opportunities to connect with other local industry professionals.
