Victim passes away after single vehicle crash

On October 21, 2024, around 9:40 pm, Boise Police responded to a single-vehicle crash at the State Street and Horseshoe Bend Road intersection. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and he was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. A crash investigation showed that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on State Street and proceeded through a green light at Horseshoe Bend Road before veering off the roadway and striking a light pole on the southeast corner of the intersection.
The victim, an adult male, passed away on October 24, 2024. The Ada County Coroner will release the victim's name and cause of death pending notification of next of kin.
