Go Sonoma Commute Rewards Program

Sonoma County Transportation Authority (SCTA) developed an innovative Go Sonoma Commute Rewards Program designed to incentivize sustainable commuting choices. This program offers commuters throughout Sonoma County the opportunity to earn rewards simply by opting for cleaner and more sustainable alternative travel options when commuting to work or school.

Go Sonoma represents a significant step forward in promoting sustainable and efficient transportation solutions for residents and students. Through strategic partnerships and innovative planning, the program seeks to address key challenges such as traffic congestion, environmental impact, and accessibility to public transit.

What is Sonoma Commute Rewards?

Go Sonoma's Commute Rewards Program goal is to reduce carbon emissions by promoting eco-friendly commuting habits, fostering a supportive environment for maintaining and improving sustainable travel practices, and helping to enhance participants' physical health and overall well-being. By encouraging sustainable and healthy commuting choices, the program not only benefits individual commuters, but it also makes positive impacts on the environment and the community.

How to Earn Points:

Participants can enter their current location and destination to find the best sustainable commuting options that fit their schedule and preferences. After completing a sustainable commute, participants are encouraged to log their trips on the website to accumulate points towards rewards.

Participants can earn points by choosing the following sustainable commuting options:

  • Teleworking: 10 points (full day)
  • Ridesharing (Carpool/Vanpool): 10 points (one-way)
  • Active Transportation (Walking, Biking, E-Scooters): 10 points (one-way)
  • Public Transit (Rail, Bus, Ferry): 10 points (one-way)
