Students from the Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences participated in the Annual Oklahoma Academy of Science Technical Meeting on Nov. 1. The event, hosted at the OU Health Sciences Center, brought together students, faculty, and citizen scientists to share progress and insights across various scientific disciplines.

SWOSU students Colter Esparza and Darren Powers delivered oral presentations on their research. Additional students, including Erik Mesta, Mckaegan Gregory, Kyle Lane, Bryant Franco, presented posters that highlighted their projects within the Biological and Biomedical Sciences Department. The students were mentored by SWOSU faculty members Dr. Renan Bosque, Dr. Rickey Cothran, and Dr. Peter Grant, who provided guidance and support throughout their research endeavors.
