The City of Hollywood is excited to announce two major updates coming later this summer to enhance customer service and streamline operations.

New Accela Permitting Software System

Launching later this summer, the Accela Civic Application will revolutionize the building permit process by offering online permit applications for:

• Demolition
• Fence
• Windows
• Doors
• Shutters
• Plumbing
• Driveway
• Electrical
• Mechanical
• Reroof

The City's existing online ePermit and Express Same Day Permitting Services will continue to accommodate all other permits until Version 2.0 is released in 2025.

Departments Relocating for Improved Service

In addition to the Accela launch, the City is completing a buildout of the second floor of the Hollywood Branch Library, located in City Hall Circle. This new space will house Development Services, including Building, Engineering, Transportation and Mobility, Planning and Zoning, and Community Development. These departments provide vital services such as building permits and housing and community development programs.

The relocation aims to improve customer service, accessibility, and efficiency. Visitors will find the new space easier to navigate, significantly reducing the time and effort required to obtain necessary services.
