"To have four student-athletes get recognized this year is a great accomplishment," Head Coach Anthony Sisneros said. "The growth that I noticed was that the athletes were getting more competitive, not just with the other teams, but also with their teammates and themselves."
Four Cougar sports shooters received recognition from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) for their performances throughout the 2024 season.
Ashley Fisher was named First Team All-Region for the women's team, Dakota Lacina received Second Team and Elizabeth Ward was an Honorable Mention. On the men's side, Tristan Lewison was named to the Second Team All-Region.
"To have four student-athletes get recognized this year is a great accomplishment," Head Coach Anthony Sisneros said. "The growth that I noticed was that the athletes were getting more competitive, not just with the other teams, but also with their teammates and themselves. They became more focused on breaking as many targets as they could."
Sisneros said he was very satisfied with how the season went and thinks this can fuel the team when their 2025 season kicks off next August.
"Seeing their teammates win these awards will definitely motivate the team next year, to grow their skills and reach the same scores as their teammates," he said.
