ICYMI: Donald Trump Promises to Put RFK Jr. In Charge of Women’s Health Arrow

Last night at a rally in Nevada, Donald Trump promised to put RFK Jr. in charge of "women's health."

This should terrify anyone who cares about women's reproductive health. RFK Jr. once agreed to signing a national abortion ban, and Trump is running on an official platform that would effectively ban abortion nationwide.

Coverage of Donald Trump's terrifying promise to put RFK Jr. in charge of women's health:

Willie Geist and Ian Sams on MSNBC's Morning Joe:

Geist: "[RFK Jr.] at one time called for a federal abortion ban and tried to walk that back over the last year or so, but suffice it to say, he's been all over the place on abortion, as well."

Sams: "We're seeing late breakers coming our way. Undecided voters are making up their minds and swinging for Vice President Harris. […] I think we can see why. Donald Trump is talking about putting one of the most extreme figures in our politics in charge of women's health. Undecided swing voters are repulsed by that."

Sarah Matthews on MSNBC Reports:

Matthews: "[Donald Trump] is fully embracing RFK Jr. That should be terrifying to anyone who is heading to the polls on Tuesday. Look, this is a conspiracy theorist, and Donald Trump wants to put him in charge of our nation's health. And then to say women's health is even more frightening considering how much of an issue reproductive access has been for women in this country. So I think that will motivate women when they hear this even more than they already are motivated."

Dr. Jonathan Reiner on CNN Newsroom:

Reiner: "We'd be wild. I can't imagine a worse person to put in charge of public health in the United States. Mr. Kennedy is a conspiracy theorist - he's just a wacky conspiracy theorist whose not just unproven ideas but disproven ideas are wrapped in a faux layer of respectability provided by his last name."
