Austin Bridge & Road Lab Receives AASHTO Certification

FORT WORTH - Austin Bridge & Road is proud to announce that The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials approved its qualifications for the company's lab in Fort Worth, TX. The lab is the primary hot-mix asphalt design and production lab for Austin's North Texas aviation and heavy civil operations.

"Today's owners expect higher standards, and we are eager to meet their demand," said Troy Morrison, Vice President of Asphalt Plant Operations. "This certification will support our work throughout the state, showing our commitment to quality, while allowing us to pursue a diverse set work in aviation and heavy-civil projects."

AASHTO's standards are the most widely accepted in the nation. Nearly all the 2,000 accredited labs in the United States are part of engineering firms, with only a handful part of asphalt producers. As of July 2024, Austin Bridge & Road was one of only two asphalt producers in the state of Texas with a certified lab, according to AASHTO.
