Calaveras County

Highway Lane Closures
State Routes 26 & 49

Calaveras County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures on State Route 26 (SR-26) and SR-49 for maintenance and construction operations. Work to occur as follows:

State Route 26

  • One-way traffic control from Campo Seco Turnpike to Andrew Lane for utility work on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from SR-49 to Happy Valley Road for utility work on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Prindle Road to Jesus Maria Road for utility work on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Montgomery Drive to Gill Haven Drive for utility work on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Lower Dorray Road to Ridge Road for tree work on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Ealey Road to Mokelumne River for drainage work beginning Monday October 7, 2024, through Friday, October 11, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from Birds Way to Raspberry Lane/Hardscrabble Street for sign/banner work on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Calaveras River to Spring Hills Road for utility work on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from George Reed Company to Calaveras/Amador County Line for tree work beginning Monday, October 7, 2024, through Friday, October 11, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
