Ernst Demands Biden-Harris Admin Slam the Brakes on EV Emission Lies

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) led her colleagues in calling out Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chair Lina Khan for allowing electric vehicles (EVs) to be deceptively advertised as zero-emission to consumers.

The senators blasted the Biden-Harris administration for once again lying to advance its Green New Deal agenda that increases costs for hardworking Iowans and makes America reliant on China and slave labor.

"The Biden-Harris administration's heavy-handed push for EVs conveniently ignores the environmental impacts these vehicles have. The lifecycle of an EV is far from zero-emission. While the president and vice president may wish to mislead the American people, it is the FTC's duty to protect consumers from false and misleading advertisements," wrote the senators.

Background:

Ernst has fought the EV mandate and exposed the convoluted network of falsehoods propping up the radical climate agenda.

She introduced the Unplug the Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Program Act to repeal President Biden's $7.5 billion boondoggle that has resulted in just seven EV charging stations being built.

Senator Ernst blocked the Biden-Harris administration from implementing an EV mandate for military vehicles that would dramatically weaken our armed forces.
