System Named to 2024 Best Workplaces for Women

ARLINGTON, Texas - Great Place To Work^® and Fortune magazine have selected Texas Health Resources as one of the 2024 Fortune Best Workplaces for Women^™. This is the eighth time the organization has been named to the prestigious list, this year coming in at No. 44.

Texas Health was the only Texas-based healthcare system represented in the ranking of 100 large companies across various industry sectors.

At Texas Health, women represent nearly 80% of the workforce. In 2023, women in leadership roles increased by 9.6%, and women filled 52% of officer-level positions.

To determine the Best Workplaces for Women, Great Place To Work analyzed the survey responses of nearly 600,000 women who work at Great Place To Work Certified^™ companies that were eligible for the list. To be considered, a company must employ at least 50 women, fill at least 20% of nonexecutive manager roles with women and have at least one female at the executive level.

In addition, Great Place To Work analyzed the gender balance of each workplace compared with Bureau of Labor Statistics industry data. Companies also were assessed on how representation changes as women rise from front-line positions to the board of directors.

Texas Health offers a generous 401(k) program with match, paid time off and paid community time off for volunteer work, competitive health care choices and several wellness programs. Employees have up to six weeks of paid parental leave for new mothers and fathers per year that enables eligible them to bond with a newborn child or a placed child under 18 years of age

Last month, Texas Health placed No.1 on the 2024 Fortune Best Workplaces in Health Care^™ list. In April, Texas Health ranked No. 29 on Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For^® list - the highest among health systems recognized in 2024. Texas Health ranked No. 3 on Fortune's Best Workplaces in Texas^™ list - the highest healthcare system and North Texas-based organization to receive this recognition this year.

Texas Health was among America's Greatest Workplaces for 2024, earning five stars - the highest rating presented by Newsweek and the data firm Plant-A Insights Group for organizations with 5,000-plus employees. Texas Health also earned five stars from Newsweek's America's Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024 and was one of 54 honorees nationwide to receive the Business Group on Health Best Employers: Excellence in Health & Well-being Award.
