Make plans for summer fun at UAB Legacy Family Day on Aug. 11

Summer doesn't have to end yet: At Legacy Family Day, play games on the Campus Green, race rubber ducks in the Rec Center pool, dunk a UAB celebrity and more.Enjoy the last days of summer with an afternoon of fun and games at Legacy Family Day on Sunday, Aug. 11 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, presented by Legacy Credit Union and the UAB National Alumni Society.

For the third year, Blaze and the NAS invite UAB alumni - and their little Blazers - to take part in family-friendly activities on the UAB Campus Green.

From 3-5 p.m., play yard games and enjoy water slides plus free access to the UAB Rec Center Pool, complete with mini-Olympic races and a rubber duckie race. Meet and have a photo with Blaze, take a shot at soaking UAB celebrities in a dunk tank, and cool off with shaved ice and other snacks.

Tickets to Legacy Family Day are $5 per person, and registration for this event is required. Families who have signed up for the Growing Up Green and Gold program will receive up to $20 off their family's registration.

Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, towels and a blanket to sit on. For questions, visit alumni.uab.edu.
