AUSTIN, Texas - Texas Farm Credit District stockholders have re-elected John L. "Jack" Dailey of Extension, Louisiana, to the Farm Credit Bank of Texas board of directors. Additionally, the board has reappointed Dorothy Nichols of Reston, Virginia, as an outside director. Both will begin three-year terms on January 1, 2025.

Dailey, a board member since 2019, chairs the bank's compensation committee and serves on the audit committee. He owns Boeuf Prairie Farm in Extension, Louisiana, and manages Franklin Farmers Alliance LLC. Dailey holds leadership positions in several organizations, including chairing the Louisiana Boll Weevil Eradication Commission and the Franklin Parish Fire Protection District 2. He is also the treasurer of the Franklin Parish Farm Bureau and serves on the boards of the national Farm Credit Council and the Louisiana Cotton and Grain Association. Previously, Dailey was Vice Chair of the Louisiana Land Bank Board of Directors.
Nichols, appointed to the board in May 2019, is Vice Chair of the bank's compensation committee and serves on the audit committee. She has over 30 years of experience in federal financial regulation, including a 23-year tenure at the Farm Credit System Insurance Corporation (FCSIC), where she served as general counsel and later as chief operating officer (COO). Prior to that, Nichols was also the first COO of the Farm Credit Administration and held roles at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Federal Home Loan Bank Board. She holds a bachelor's degree in history and a law doctorate.
In addition to Dailey and Nichols, members of the seven-person bank board as of January 1 will be Dennis Anthony of Friona, Texas; Dr. Larry L. Boleman of College Station, Texas; James F. "Jimmy" Dodson, board Chair, of Robstown, Texas; Linda C. Floerke, board Vice Chair, of Lampasas, Texas; and M. Philip Guthrie of Hideaway, Texas.
