Keep Douglas Beautiful Teams Up With Coffee State Park For Your State Parks Day

Imagine the satisfaction of directly contributing to the conservation of our beautiful natural state park while engaging with our community in a truly meaningful way. On Your State Parks Day, September 28, 2024, volunteers will have a unique opportunity to do that by joining forces with the Keep Douglas Beautiful Committee and the dedicated team at Coffee State Park from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM for a Park Clean-Up Event.

This cleanup initiative plays a critical part in the Yearly Work Plan for the Keep Douglas Beautiful Committee, reflecting the shared commitment to maintaining and enhancing the beauty and health of natural surroundings. By contributing just a few hours of time, volunteers become an integral part of a movement focused on sustainability and community well-being.

This year, the clean-up will focus on painting, litter pick-up, and beautification of the park.

"It's about taking pride in our community spaces and ensuring they remain welcoming and pristine for everyone to enjoy," says KDB Chairperson Dinitra Williams. "We recognize the importance of a hands-on approach to conservation - all we need is your dedication and spirit of volunteerism."
