State Police investigate a fatal fire in the town of Victory

On July 2, 2024, at approximately 1:18 a.m., the New York State Police in Auburn responded to a residential fire at 12119 McNeely Road in the town of Victory. An initial investigation revealed a 78-year-old male and a 59-year-old male lived in the residence. The 59-year-old assisted the 78-year-old in escaping the fire. The 78-year-old then went for help at a neighbor's residence. The 59-year-old was later found deceased inside of the residence. The 78-year-old was not injured.
