President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia

President Vahagn Khachaturyan held a meeting with Saudi Arabia's Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of the Arabian Gulf Regional Development Fund and the Arab Council for Childhood and Development.

The Prince visited Armenia at the invitation of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to participate in the international conference titled "A Path to Social Justice: Decent Work," held on November 5.

Welcoming his guest, the President expressed gratitude for his visit to Armenia and participation in the conference.

"We are well aware of your humanitarian activities and highly appreciate them. Today, there is a significant lack of social justice in the world, which leads to major issues. Your work helps to prevent these problems, which is a very important mission," the President said.

Prince Abdulaziz expressed his appreciation for the reception, stating that he is pleased to visit Armenia for the first time and sees great potential for developing relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for enhancing cooperation between Armenia and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the importance of social and educational programs, as well as youth development initiatives.

President Khachaturyan highly valued Abdulaziz bin Talal's humanitarian efforts and his support for poverty alleviation and educational reforms, noting that it is crucial for Armenia to have partners who share goals of sustainable development and social justice.

The sides also stressed the need for peace in the region and highlighted the role of civil society as a key factor in ensuring effective governance and accountability. They acknowledged the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which opens new avenues for further bilateral cooperation.

They explored the wide range of opportunities for activating the potential for cooperation, particularly in high technology, culture, science, and education and other fields. Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal noted that Saudi Arabia is interested in strengthening friendly ties with Armenia and is ready to support youth-oriented programs that promote the exchange of knowledge and skills.
