Night work scheduled for July 8-12 on Highway 221

NAPA COUNTY - Evening and overnight construction is scheduled to impact Highway 221 starting on Monday, July 8. Napa County will be installing a new traffic light on Highway 221 to support the County's Replacement Detention Facility Project that will be the new site of the County jail. The work is located at the intersection of Highway 221 and Syar Road, which is just south of Streblow Drive and the Highway 221 intersection (see attached map). Construction is scheduled to begin the evening of Monday, July 8 and is expected to be complete on Friday, July 12, with the work occuring between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Traffic control measures will include single lane closures during construction and may result in some traffic congestion in the area. The County acknowledges that construction may cause inconvenience to motorists during construction and appreciates the patience of the surrounding community.
