Do you know glioblastoma

Glioblastoma is a new word for many, but for those who are battling this deadly brain disease and their family members, it's a term synonymous with heartbreak.

When our friend, Mark Cunningham, lost his battle to this aggressive brain tumor, the impact of this incurable disease reverberated not only across his family but across our community. That's true for tens of thousands of other families across the United States every year.

While there is no cure to this deadly disease, raising awareness is a critical step forward. That's why I've introduced legislation to designate the third Wednesday of July as "Glioblastoma Awareness Day."

This effort is about remembering those we've lost, and giving hope to every person battling this disease. I believe that, together, we can find a cure.
