A roundtable meeting on property taxation was held in Moscow.
The event was held within the framework of the All-Russian conference "Modern Problems of Theory and Practice of Taxes and Tax Administration" (October Readings in memory of Doctor of Economics, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation L. P. Pavlova).
The conference annually brings together representatives of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, audit and consulting companies, researchers and university professors, taxation specialists from the CIS and other countries. The event was organized by the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Economy and Finance Roman Levintook part in the roundtable.
The participants discussed the results of the preparation of drafts of the Model Tax Code for the CIS Member Nations, Special Provisions.,Chapter 6. Property Tax and Chapter 7. Land Tax.The creation of documents is engaged in a working group of the Finance University.
The experts also touched upon the peculiarities of legislation in terms of property taxation, the nuances of determining the tax base, rates and procedure for calculating taxes.
The experts outlined further areas of work aimed at harmonizing the tax legislation of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
