Scam Alert

We have been made aware of a recent scam in which folks who have filed a lost pet report receive a call from someone pretending to be an employee of the shelter, stating their lost pet is critically injured and in need of surgery, and requesting a deposit in order to move forward with surgery. Please know that Seattle Animal Shelter does not require advance payment for sick or injured animals in our care! We take the care of our animals very seriously and would not ask a distressed pet owner for a deposit for their sick or injured pet.

If you are concerned that your lost pet is at our shelter, please visit our lost pet page: https://www.seattle.gov/animal…/find-an-animal/lost-pets. You can also call (206) 386-7387 or visit the shelter between open hours Tues-Fri and Sat/Sun from 1-5pm.
