RTI International named 2024 best place to work for disability inclusion

The award recognizes the institute's commitment to creating an inclusive workplace


Research Triangle Park, N.C. - RTI International, a nonprofit research institute, has been named a best place to work for disability inclusionby Disability:IN, a global business disability inclusion network. RTI earned a top score of 100 in the Disability Equality Index®, the world's most comprehensive benchmarking tool that helps companies build a roadmap to achieve disability inclusion and equality.

The 2024 index measured the following areas:

  • Culture & leadership
  • Enterprise-wide access
  • Employment practices (benefits, recruitment, employment, education, retention & advancement, accommodations)
  • Community engagement
  • Supplier diversity
  • Responsible procurement (non-weighted)

The index was launched in 2015 by Disability:IN and The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and is acknowledged today as the most robust disability inclusion assessment tool. This year, 542 corporations utilized the Disability Equality Index to benchmark their disability inclusion efforts.
