Turner signs on to Equity in Infrastructure Project initiative that promotes opportunities for minority, women, and small owned businesses in construction.

Turner Construction Company joined industry leaders in signing the Equity in Infrastructure Project, an initiative that promotes opportunities for minority, women, small, and underutilized businesses in construction. This will provide opportunities in infrastructure while helping to sustain economic development.

The Equity in Infrastructure Project serves to provide a framework and resources for companies to take intentional action to grow underrepresented businesses and contribute to long-term community growth and prosperity in our communities.

68 companies have taken the pledge to increase the number, size, and proportion of contracting opportunities for historically underutilized businesses. The pledge has brought industry leaders together so that they can collectively learn from one another and collaborate in innovative ways to advance diversity and inclusion.

Turner has been on the forefront of advancing diversity and inclusion in the AEC industry and recently signed the Million Women in Construction Community Pledge.

"The future of our industry is extremely bright," said Peter Davoren, President and CEO, Turner Construction Company. "Our efforts to increase diversity in our industry serve to build a strong foundation for the generations to come. It is also so important that we create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment in our industry where everyone can be at their best, be authentic, and be treated with respect and dignity. And we must seek to eliminate hate and bias every day. This is the most meaningful work we can do."
