Kirkland Advises Berkshire Partners on Close of Berkshire Fund XI

Kirkland & Ellis advised Berkshire Partners LLC ("Berkshire"), a Boston-based private equity firm, in the successful closing of Berkshire Fund XI, with total capital commitments of approximately $7.8 billion. Fund XI was meaningfully oversubscribed, and represents Berkshire's largest fund since the firm's inception in 1986. Berkshire is a multi-sector specialist that strategically targets partnership opportunities with middle market companies operating in four key industry sectors, including business services & industrials, consumer, healthcare and technology & communications.
